We strive to strengthen the whole person in the fight against depression: body, spirit, mind, and soul.

This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.       1 John 3:19-20

A patch covers over holes, weaknesses, wounds.  It doesn’t simply hide imperfections. It restores an item back to its original functionality.  A good patch will hold through the rigors of life.  Clothes are often patched, but so are boats and tires... really just about anything can be.

A patch is also a visible reminder that an injury took place.  It dispels the illusion of perfection but with it a different kind of beauty becomes possible.  Patched clothes have character.  They have a story, and when the patch is done lovingly it can turn a regular pair of pants into a beloved one.

That’s our goal here.  If you’re a part of this community, life has surely delivered you a blow, but we want to help you patch it up and get back to living fully.  The patch is a memento to the hurt that did indeed happen, but it’s also a sign of healing.  It’s a sign of having struggled, but also of having overcome.
